CONVOCATORIA PARA HACER UN DOCTORADO INDUSTRIAL EN MEDIO AMBIENTE

Se busca candidat@ para optar a un contrato de trabajo con el fin de desarrollar la Tesis Doctoral en el área de Biodiversidad de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, en colaboración con una empresa, en temas relacionados con la biología y gestión de la cotorra argentina (Myopsitta monachus) en la Comunidad de Madrid.

El objetivo general del proyecto es profundizar en el conocimiento de la biología de esta especie exótica invasora y de los impactos que causa. El trabajo conjunto con la empresa, permitirá al doctorando involucrarse en la gestión de la especie mediante su participación en la toma y análisis de datos, seguimiento de las actuaciones de control y erradicación y evaluación de la efectividad de las actuaciones.

Requisito indispensable: Máster en Biología o Ciencias Ambientales

Se valorará:

-Interés en combinar trabajo de campo y laboratorio.

-Nivel de inglés e interés en realizar estancias en centros de investigación nacionales y/o extranjeros.

-Conocimientos básicos de estadística y paquetes estadísticos.

Summer fellowships for undergraduate students! Participants will have the opportunity to work side by side with CREAF researchers during two months between May and October 2021. Selected students will receive a 2000€ stipend plus travel costs up to 200€.

We are looking for talented undergraduate students that want to be the protagonist of a new generation of ecologists. Spend two months (between May and October 2021) with our researchers, doing fieldwork, lab work, travelling, learning about databases. This experience will be a turning point in your studies, we want to inspire you as a future scientist in ecology.
The Fellowship is addressed to talented undergraduate university students of any nationality in an advanced year of their degrees.
